Landing on the Moon

So did we land on the moon?

I think the answer is yes but there is a big but to this.

Imagine you have to succeed no matter what. after all its the middle of the Cold War Russia has become the first country to send a man into space. USA is starting to lose the space race. 

 NASA will do anything to make sure the USA becomes the first country to land on the moon.

What I believe is that NASA did land on the moon, with a studio set as back up. So as Neil Armstrong stepped on to the Lunar surface to utter the most famous words in history "One small step for man one giant leap for mankind", there was a stunt double (for want of a better word) was doing the same thing on a studio set maybe at the same time or several days before. 

 Why would NASA do this well its not unusual to rehearse any live event these days with stand ins to get camera angles correct and to work out security issues. So why wouldn't NASA do this way back then. I mean this has got to be the most important event on the entire planet, you are not going to muck this up are you. 

Now if NASA have a prerecorded studio version, they can use this to test transmission times to their various tracking stations around the world. 

Could you imagine if the video transmission failed on the lunar module, or due to unforeseen circumstances the astronauts where unable to land on the moon NASA would be humiliated.  You would need some kind of backup. 

 Plus at one point there was a 2 minute gap in transmission, was this NASA switching over to the prerecorded sequence, or switching from prerecorded to live.

Are electric cars really as green as we think

 If we all switched to electric powered vehicles won't the overall consumption of electricity go up since everyone will need to charge their cars or vans.

 I think switching to electric vehicles will just move the pollution problem not solve it. Sure cities will eventually be cleaner, but how will we produce all this extra demand for electricity. Short term extra energy production will mean fossil fuel powered stations staying online longer than previously planned, while newer greener options are looked at and built. So what does this mean. It means we will need more wind farms, more tidal and more hydro electric solutions, and quite possibly more solar powered stations.

 This date of 2030 ish (will probably change) be used for all new cars in the EU will be electric is not that far off. But have governments prepared for the increase in the extra electricity consumption. I doubt it. 

Average UK energy consumption in the UK is about 3940 kWh  per year. The global average is 3370 kWh (data from EC4U) . Now when you start charging a car this energy consumption increases to about 7324 kWh. This means an increase of about €500 per year (data from Virta). While this is cheaper than your annual fuel bill, an average fuel bill comes in at about €3000 a year. It does mean more demand for electricity, and how is this demand going to be met.

And how will you charge electric vehicles if you live in a flat, not all flats have allocated parking and also some houses have street parking only so how do they charge their cars.

Its quite worrying that governments can pass this kind of legislation without thinking through all the possible consequences of what could happen.  

MH370 Part 3

An article in the Daily Express Online  states " Did HACKERS unlock cockpit and Suffocate passengers?"

 It seems the hacking theory is gaining more weight. But it still doesn't answer why and where is the plane now.

I think the hacking theory is purposely being kept as quite as is physically possible to stop world wide panic. I mean should it become widely known that someone or a group of someones, intentionally hacked and then gained control of an airplane what would happen to the air industry in general. 

Personally I think it does explain a few things like the Inmarsat transponder suddenly turning off and then coming back online. As has already been suggested its like the system has been rebooted.  

So if it wasn't a Government entity that hacked the plane, maybe it was either a demonstration by persons unknown of something they can do at will and  if you pay them enough they can do it again. Or they have put the technology they used up for auction to the highest bidder. Or its for a ransom to prevent it happening again. Any of these scenarios aren't particularly comforting are they.  If official agencies are wanting to keep this quite, and presumably they do, then you make sure everyone starts looking in the wrong place that way the real evidence can never be found can it?

MH370 Part 2

Ok. Is Flight MH370 in the Cambodian Jungle. Probably not, and here are the reasons why;

There is no evidence of a plane being sighted near Cambodia, at the time of the disappearance.
Secondly, there is no landing damage, no furrows. Its as if the plane just fell out of the sky fairly intact. You would expect if the plane made an emergency landing in the jungle there would be some sort of furrowed track. Even jungle vegetation doesn't grow that quick. Plus you would expect the wreckage to be over a wider area, as bits of the plane started to break off, such as the wings, tail section etc. And think about it. Even if the plane just fell out of the sky it would break up on impact and cause some sort of crater I doubt it would still be plane shaped when viewed from above. Also the tail configuration isn't correct for a Boeing 777-200. 

 So what is it. Its probably a plane caught in flight.

Flight MH370 What Really Happened

Nobody really knows what happened when flight MH370 went missing. Until the plane is found all we have are conspiracy theories and speculation. And even when it is found we will no doubt get more theories.

 I remember about a month after hearing the news. The Island of Diego Garcia suddenly came to mind. The flying time to the island from Kuala Lumpa is about 4 and half hours and the flight time to Beijing is about 5 and half hours. 

 So why is Diego Garcia important. Its an island in the Indian Ocean that's owned by the UK and effectively rented out to the Americans to use as a military base.   

 This is an excerpt from Wikipedia on Diego Garcia "Between 1968 and 1973, the population was forcibly removed by the United Kingdom and the United States to establish an American base through intimidation of locals and denying the return of any who left the island.[3] Many were deported to Mauritius and the Seychelles, following which the United States built a large naval and military base, which has been in continuous operation since then.[3] As of August 2018, Diego Garcia is the only inhabited island of the BIOT (  British Indian Ocean Territory) ; the population is composed of military personnel and supporting contractors"

If you look at the flight manifest you have a lot of passengers who are experts in their chosen field. Probably more than usual on a flight. And could be a reason why the flight disappeared. 

 Of the 227 passengers 49 where experts in their chosen profession. 

They were : 

 1 Doctor who was a Geo Mechanics engineer for Schlumberger

 1 Person who was an expert in Fracking from CGG

 24 Chinese calligraphers who have had their work published in the UK, China and the US.

 1 Person from a company called Xcoal, they sell coal.

 1 IBM executive.

 1 Person was Jet Li's stunt double and a martial arts expert.

 20 Staff from Freescale semiconductor. 

 Oh and don't forget the 2 potential terrorist who where travelling on stolen passports. They where later cleared of being terrorists.

Here is what I think happened. For whatever reason the plane was diverted either via someone onboard or via someone on the ground hacking the plane. 

 The plane was then flown to Diego Garcia. Would also explain cincerned family members hearing ring tones some 4 days after the crash. But there are other explanations for this as well, such as certain operators put a false ring tone in if the phone can't be reached. Mind you I find that one hard to believe as whenever I have found anyone who can't be reached I normally get either a busy signal or a message saying that the phone is out of the area of coverage or is switched off. 

Barnacles on MH370 Flaperon

 Part of my reasoning for this is that the flapperon that was found should have had more sea-life on it. I have worked on survey ships in this area and know that after only a month of equipment being in the sea you get much more growth than what is visible from the photos of the alleged debris. The Gooseneck barnacles stick to almost everything and are very hard to remove. The flaperon was found July 29th, now that's just over 4 months after the flight went missing.  In 4 months there should a lot more barnacle growth. The growth I would estimate from the picture is probably no more than 4 weeks worth at most.

 So why aren't there more barnacles. I think the flaperon was submerged underwater for only a short period of time then released either on purpose or by accident as it was meant to be released later to give the barnacles more time to grow and accumulate. 

Ok it still doesn't explain why was it flown to Diego Garcia.? I hear you cry.  Well either there was a suspected terrorist attack. Remember there where two travellers flying on stolen passports, so some government agency reacted to this and flew the plane to Diego Garcia.  Or there was someone or something on the plane that if the wrong people got hold of might be a problem. Or a government agency wanted someone or something on that plane. Without more evidence we will never know. And now there are claims that the plane has been found  in Cambodia which will surely now create even more theories. This would also explain the dial tones heard. But I think mobile phone coverage in the middle of a jungle would be sporadic at best. Diego Garcia would have a mobile phone system in place so personnel could phone home etc.  

Tesla and the FBI

In digging deeper in to life the Tesla, several things came to light.

One it looked like someone was intentionally trying to erase him from history and.

Two the FBI and several other government agencies had interest in him.

Letter to J Edgar Hoover

It appears that on the 24 Sept 1940 someone had written to J Edgar Hoover with concerns about an article written in the New York Times (Sunday 22 Sept 1940). Their concerns where about a weapon that Tesla called "Teleforce", and that Tesla himself might be kidnapped, tortured and made to give up the plans for this weapon. Unfortunately the senders name has been redacted on the letter.  

Reply from J Edgar hoover

 At the time J Edgar Hoover was head of the FBI (he was Director from 1924 to 1971). Mr Hoover or his secretary replied on the 1st Oct 1940.

So did Tesla have a protection detail to look after him or was he under surveillance himself. No-one seems to have the answer to that one. But you can guarantee if the FBI where interested in him so where the OSS (Office of Strategic Services which was the precursor to the CIA and probably other non American agencies as well.

Then when Tesla died according to most sources like Wikipedia he died on the 7th Jan 1943. But in a report by the FBI in New York they state it was actually the 8th Jan the document was written on the 12th Jan 1943. So why the discrepancy. Was it to give them time to search his room. They had already opened his safe then changed the combination. apparently they didn't find anything of value. But then why did they go back and take two truck loads of files and sent them to the  Manhattan Storage And Warehouse Co on 7th Avenue on the corners of 52nd and 53rd streets. It also states that there where 30 barrels and bundles belonging to Tesla already there. Strangely the Office of Alien Property Custodian got involved, but they didn't seem to think it was their jurisdiction. About this time Vannevar Bush (more on him in another article) got involved and asked John G Trump (Donald Trump's uncle) to evaluate Tesla's work. He concluded it was of no importance, this was probably not true (fake news even happened back then).  I think this was to throw other agencies off the scent. 

Part two of FBI report

 Now the other thing is that there where about 80 trunks full of Tesla's files plus the 30 or so barrels. Where did they all go. The Tesla museum in Belgrade Serbia only got about 50 trunks and his safe so what has happened to the rest ????

Nikola Tesla on History Channel UK.

Thats right a program called the missing files of Nikola Tesla will be aired on the History Channel UK on Tuesday 18th September at 10pm.

Its based on the fact that most of tesla's drawings, plans and writings were siezed by the FBI just after he died. 

Is it because of his death ray plans or something more sinister.
